Two-Day National Seminar on NEP–2020 and Developed India to be आयोजित at YBN University, Ranchi

YBN University, Ranchi, Jharkhand, is organizing a Two-Day National Seminar on 22nd and 23rd December 2025 on the theme:

“Moving Towards New Horizons: Integrating the National Education Policy–2020 with Contemporary University Education and the Vision of a Developed India.”

The national seminar aims to promote in-depth deliberation on the effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP)–2020 in higher education and to explore its pivotal role in achieving the vision of a Developed India (Viksit Bharat). The seminar will serve as a strong academic platform, bringing together eminent academicians, administrators, scientists, scholars, and policymakers from across the country.

The seminar will be graced by the presence of several distinguished dignitaries, including:

  • Prof. (Dr.) Saket Kushwaha, Vice-Chancellor, University of Ladakh
  • Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha, Vice-Chancellor, Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur
  • Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar Verma, Vice-Chancellor, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic University, Jabalpur
  • Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Karn, Professor & Dean (Students’ Welfare), Nava Nalanda Mahavihara (Deemed to be University), Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Nalanda (Bihar)

The seminar will gain special academic enrichment through the esteemed participation of Prof. (Dr.) Dipendra Singh, Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, who is also the Chairman of the Education Regulation Committee, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi.

In addition, renowned experts and scholars such as:

  • Dr. Neloy Khare, Scientist, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India
  • Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Senior Professor and Director, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi
  • Dr. Biswendu Bhattacharya, Senior Correspondent, United News of India (UNI)

will actively participate in the deliberations.

The seminar will also be honored by the gracious presence of Padma Shri awardee Shri Ashok Bhagat, whose outstanding contributions to social development and grassroots education have been widely recognized at national and international levels.

Speaking about the objective of the seminar, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Satyadev Poddar stated that the initiative aims to align higher education reforms with the core objectives of NEP–2020, creating a robust national academic forum to promote innovation, multidisciplinary education, research excellence, and value-based learning, thereby contributing meaningfully to the vision of a developed India.

According to the organizers, the seminar will feature extensive discussions on key themes such as multidisciplinary education, academic flexibility, research and innovation, skill development, digital learning, and the role of universities in nation-building. The programme will include keynote addresses, plenary sessions, panel discussions, and research paper presentations by scholars and researchers from various institutions across the country.

This national seminar reflects YBN University’s commitment to academic excellence, policy-driven educational reforms, and the advancement of higher education in alignment with national priorities, positioning the university as a proactive contributor to India’s educational transformation.
